On November 3, we will be voting on the Ward System.  Many of our citizens feel that certain segments of the community are favored more than others.  While I do see the significance of having ward representation, I would prefer a City Council structure that also included some members at large.  Four council members could serve specific districts and two council members could serve at large. With the proposed ward system, I am concerned that if one district does not offer a candidate to run and represent its seat, that an individual could be appointed without the public having input.
